Martial Art Training: Began in 1978 under the direction of Larry Whitener. Have trained with many of the best instructors in the world, including Jim Harrison, Dan Inosanto, Carlos Machado, Ted LucayLucay, and Kiyoshi Nishime. I continue to be a student.
Personal Achievements: Honored on the floor of the Missouri State Senate for my accomplishments and work in the community.
Martial Art Achievements: During my competitive days, I was ranked 3rd in a nine state region in forms, fighting and weapons by the Professional Karate League. I was a finalist int he National Collegiate Taekwondo Championships and my academy has been named Missouri State Team champions 9 times. I am a member of two Halls of Fame.
